SAREES

 Sarees are a popular and significant part of Sri Lankan culture, though they share similarities with those worn in India and other South Asian countries. Sri Lanka has its own unique style of saree called the Osariya (or sometimes spelled Osari), which is particularly worn by women from Upcountry, agricultural, and noble backgrounds. While there are variations based on region and caste, a standard saree is also worn by other women in Sri Lanka.
